Following 92 court sessions in Stockholm through the course of 33 months, former Iranian regime official Hamid Noury was sentenced to life in prison for committing serious crimes against international law and murder during the summer 1988 massacre of over 30,000 political prisoners across the country. Most of the victims were members and supporters of the Iranian opposition People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK).

The court ruling emphasizes that former Iranian regime supreme leader Ruhollah Khomeini ordered that MEK members/supporters steadfast on their position and political beliefs must be executed and that this case is in reference to the execution of MEK members/supporters in the 1988 massacre and a number of Marxist prisoners.

This is the result of a massive legal and political…

Originally published at the PMOI website

One of the main characteristics of 2022 is the acceleration of the socio-political developments and the escalation of the confrontation between the Iranian regime and its opposition. This is reflected in remarks by Ebrahim Raisi as the regime’s president and the elimination of the so-called reformist faction.

The regime’s supreme leader Ali Khamenei had hoped Raisi would be able to curb the increasing protests. Now, one year into Raisi’s presidency, we see that Khamenei’s “Young Hezbollahi Government” has failed to reach its intended goals.

As the regime continues to sink into disarray, the more prevalent question is what the “alternative” to the regime would be like. This has become an important political issue today.

This is the reason why the regime and its intelligence service have started to portray the deposed and disdained Pahlavi regime as it’s the only…

People launched anti-regime protests in Fuladshahr, Isfahan province, central Iran – May 31, 2022

Originally published at the PMOI website

Recent protests in the city of Abadan, southwest Iran, erupted following the May 23 collapse of the 10-story Metropol tower that left at least 39 killed. The local protests, however, quickly spread to other cities and people in the streets began voicing slogans specifically targeting the regime in its entirety, calling for regime change.

A few weeks prior, various cities throughout Iran were scenes of anti-regime protests over rising inflation and skyrocketing prices of food staples. Those rallies also quickly gained political overtones, with people chanting: “Death to the velayat-e faqih principle!” referring directly to regime Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, and “Death to Raisi!” in reference to regime President Ebrahim Raisi.

In the city of Andimeshk, southwest Iran, women were seen bravely chanting “Death to the…

Documentary: 1988 Massacre of 30,000 Political Prisoners in Iran and the Role of Ebrahim Raisi

Freedom Star

To hide the major crime against humanity, the regime of criminal mullahs buried many of those executed in the 1988 massacre in mass graves in Khavaran, Tehran.

Within months after the 1979 revolution, Ruhollah Khomeini labeled anyone challenging his rule as “corrupt” and started an agenda to eliminate all political dissidents.

In late July 1988, several political activists held in prisons across Iran suddenly disappeared. They were young men and women, some of whom had been arrested years ago in their teens and imprisoned simply for their political opinions and peaceful activities such as distributing opposition leaflets and attending demonstrations. Most of them were supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK)

Khomeini labeled the MEK as Hypocrites and decreed: If the person at any stage [of the judicial process] maintains his or her support for the MEK, the sentence is execution. Annihilate the enemies of Islam, immediately.

In his decree, Khomeini ordered the formation of three-member panels, known as “Death Commissions”.

Each panel included a religious judge, prosecutor, and a representative…
